Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Wisconsin is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to design, coordinate, and execute HVAC systems for commercial, multifamily, and municipal projects. This full-time, on-site role requires 2–5 years of experience and collaboration with PMs, engineering staff, field teams, and clients.

Based at our Grafton office, you will develop load calculations, equipment selections, drawings, and specifications, while supporting energy calculations, code compliance, and value

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years HVAC design experience.
• Current PE certification or intent to obtain.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, loads, and codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including load calculations and layouts.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Perform energy calculations and ensure code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and trades.
• Support design-build and plan-spec projects from concept to construction.
• Participate in meetings and review submittals and RFIs.
