Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to design, coordinate, and execute HVAC systems for commercial, multifamily, and municipal projects. The role collaborates with Project Managers, internal engineering staff, field teams, and clients to develop practical, efficient, and code-compliant designs.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years of HVAC design experience, a PE or pursuit of PE, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 2-5 years HVAC design experience.
• Current PE certification or pursuing PE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems including load calculations and layouts.
• Develop construction documents, drawings, and specs.
• Perform energy calculations and code compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and trades.
• Support design-build and plan-spec projects through construction.
• Review submittals and assist with RFI responses.
• Visit sites to verify field conditions and support project teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
