Job Summary: The job of HVAC Technician is done for the purpose/s of providing HVAC services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site. Some duties are:
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent additional classes, certificates, or degrees associated with assigned work. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in working with equipment/machinery. Must possess a driver's license to get to various sites within the district.
Working Conditions: This position is responsible for assignments throughout Orangeburg County School District. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing work priorities. Assignments may take place outdoors as well as indoors. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and communicate with others. This employee may be asked to lift heavy equipment up to 100 lbs.
