Job summary

3M is seeking an HVAC Craftsperson in Hutchinson, Kansas to troubleshoot and maintain plant utilities equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, fire protection, and compressed air systems. You will work with Plant Support and Engineering to implement improvements for continuous improvement, testing water treatment, building automation, and fire protection systems.

The role requires a two-year HVAC technical degree, flexibility to work overtime on short notice, and travel up to 5% domestically.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in HVAC completed and verified prior to start.
• Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs and willingness to overtime on short notice and respond to call-ins.
• Positive can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in Utilities operation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site utilities equipment and recommend changes for continuous improvement.
• Test and manage site water treatment equipment.
• Maintain site building automation, electronic and pneumatic controls for utilities equipment.
• Test and maintain Fire Protection systems.
