Job summary

3M is seeking a Refrigeration & Air Condition Mechanic (HVAC) to install, troubleshoot and service HVAC systems across production, lab, and office spaces. The role requires a High School Diploma, two years Industrial HVAC/R experience (or five years residential), and Universal CFC Certification.

You will work with chillers, compressors, cooling towers and control devices, using BAS/PLCs to monitor performance and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards. Travel/relocation possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Industrial HVAC/R experience OR five (5) years of residential HVAC/R experience.
• Possess a two (2) year technical degree or diploma in HVAC/R OR five years of industrial HVAC/R experience.
• Universal CFC Management Certification.
• Additional qualifications listed below.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electro-mechanical components used in HVAC control.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, decommission and dispose HVAC systems.
• Operate building automation systems (BAS) to monitor and troubleshoot equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and vendor diagrams for accuracy and tolerances.
• Test and treat water circulation systems to prevent corrosion and growth.
• Set up and read precision testing instruments per manufacturer specs.
