Job summary

Medxcel in Wichita, KS is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice‑making systems at Via Christi St Francis.

This full‑time role requires an EPA license and at least five years of related experience; acceptable education includes high school diploma, trade school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal License required.
• Minimum of 5 years facilities maintenance experience.

• Alternative combinations of relevant education or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs all heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, follows safety protocols using PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders and ensures compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to meetings, training, and assisting with special projects.
• Leads training and department orientation for facilities stakeholders.
