Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Illinois is seeking a Counter Sales Associate II to assist customers, recommend products, and manage orders. You will handle in‑store and call‑center inquiries, research products, and help maintain store presentation.

The role requires HVAC product knowledge, strong communication, and a friendly, team‑oriented approach. Prior counter sales experience and forklift readiness are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2+ years in wholesale/retail HVAC/R or related field.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; able to work with customers in person and by phone.
• Experience running a POS terminal and basic product research.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person and by phone; identify needs and provide product info.
• Assist with product selection, troubleshooting, and special order requests.
• Process quotes, warranties, returns, and maintain records accurately.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness, stock displays, and coordinate with store team.
