Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based HVAC/Controls technician to start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control equipment at customer sites, applying electronics, direct digital control, airflow, refrigeration theory, and related techniques.

You will act as the primary company contact on projects, coordinating with customers to ensure precise on-site installations, maintain current product knowledge, and uphold safety standards while supporting overtime and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
• Valid driver's license for 12+ months with clean record.
• DDC controls experience preferred (direct digital control).
• EPA preferred for environmental controls where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Start and commission new systems, diagnose and repair environmental-control equipment.
• Serve as the direct customer contact on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products related to installation, operation, and maintenance of control systems.
• Prioritize safety and manage company assets while documenting usage and condition.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays as needed.
