Job summary

LONG Building Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Technician II for our Littleton, CO location. You will troubleshoot, program, and commission temperature control systems based on project specs, mentor apprentices, and provide expert information for the HVAC industry.

Responsibilities include installing and validating control sequences, creating graphics, and informing service sales of additional opportunities. Strong field experience with BAS is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of computer/electronic degree and 1 year TC start-up/checkout/service experience; or 3-5 years TC start-up/checkout/service experience.
• Proficient programming and troubleshooting with KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for all supported systems to meet sequences of operation and manufacturers recommendations.
• Calibrate and check-out control systems per sequences and commissioning obligations.
• Create control graphics and provide UI labor for projects per LONG standards.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of temperature control systems.
• Provide updated drawings and as-built records; submit redlines to engineers.
• Advise service sales manager of additional sales potential and solicit service contracts.
• Guide controls apprentices on jobsites and mentor on tasks.
• Work independently to complete tasks on the jobsite.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project execution.
