Job summary

Johnson Controls in Minnesota is seeking a Project Engineer to lead HVAC controls projects from design to commissioning. You will coordinate installation, hardware/software development, and ensure high-standards of safety and ethics while meeting budget targets.

The role requires strong customer communication, organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through project lifecycle with a focus on on-site execution.

Qualifications

• HVAC controls systems design and commissioning knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform or delegate tasks to design hardware, program software, coordinate installation and project closeout.
• Provide work direction to subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and admin staff.
• Manage project financials including costs, billings, collections, and profitability.
• Coordinate with customers and pursue change orders while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
