UC San Diego is seeking a Building Systems Operator HVAC Controls to operate and maintain complex building automation systems on campus. You will test, calibrate and commission HVAC controls, troubleshoot energy-related issues, and document corrective actions to prevent malfunctions.
The role requires journey-level skills with BACnet/N2 architectures, Metasys software, and HVAC Pro, plus strong communication for cross-functional collaboration on shift schedules including 2:00pm–10:30pm.
Qualifications
- Journey level experience in HVAC and Building Automation Systems.
- Experience configuring Metasys programs using HVAC Pro Software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills within a diverse community.
- Experience with BACnet & N2 architectures; experience commissioning GX9100 software.
- Experience using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
Responsabilités
- Operate, maintain, inspect and repair HVAC systems and building controls.
- Test and calibrate systems; diagnose problems and initiate repairs.
- Configure and commission BACnet and Metasys programs.
- Document corrective actions to prevent malfunctions and energy waste.
- Maintain attendance and participate in training to stay current.
