Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete customer projects in a safe, cost-effective manner. You will manage hardware design, software programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and financial results.

You will also pursue change orders, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Strong PC skills and BAS design experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with four years of field experience or six years of equivalent related experience.
• Must have applicable Building Automation Systems design and commissioning experience.
• Must possess appropriate licensing, certifications, and relevant hands‑on experience.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• Strong personal computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting is preferred.
• Metasys experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete projects with assigned customers.
• Oversee hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Manage project financials including costs, billings, and collections.
• Pursue change orders and communicate with clients on technical and business issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, installers, and designers for on-site execution.
• Ensure safety standards and compliance with applicable codes.
