Job summary

Johnson Controls invites applications for an HVAC Controls Internship in Amherst, NY. The program offers hands-on experience in design, programming, commissioning, and operation of BAS and HVAC control systems alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in HVAC, building automation, controls, or construction.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and configuration of building automation and HVAC control systems per project requirements.
• Support development of diagrams, sequences of operation, layouts, schematics, and BOMs.
• Assist with programming, testing, and troubleshooting building automation software under supervision.
• Coordinate project documentation, drawings, and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Travel to customer sites to support project activities and commissioning tasks.
