Johnson Controls is seeking HVAC technicians to grow into Building Automation Systems and controls. You’ll troubleshoot commercial HVAC, use BAS software, and work with sensors, controllers, and networks to improve comfort and energy efficiency in customer facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial HVAC service or controls.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment.
• Strong computer skills and laptop use in the field.
• Ability to learn new software and navigate technical apps.
• Comfort troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, software, and communications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Technical/vocational education or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Excellent communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot commercial HVAC and building automation systems.
• Use laptops, BAS software, diagnostic tools, and system data to identify problems.
• Work with controllers, sensors, actuators, and networks.
• Diagnose HVAC, electrical, controls, software, and communication issues.
• Learn to program, configure, commission, and optimize BAS.
• Mentor and train customers on BAS operation.
• Maintain safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate clearly with customers about technical issues.
