Job summary

SRS Distribution is seeking a Controls Estimator to provide control systems support and accurate estimates for commercial projects. The role involves reviewing plans, selecting appropriate control components, and preparing engineered wiring diagrams and submittals.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, HVAC experience, and strong MS Office skills. Travel up to 30% is required, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with Commercial HVAC is a plus.
• 3 years’ Customer Service experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Adobe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to determine controls product to be estimated.
• Translate plans into a specific list of control components.
• Review and complete wiring diagrams and submittals.
• Estimate pricing and send quotes to customers or commercial department.
• Obtain external vendor pricing and competitive quotes.
• Coordinate with engineering services, Account Executives, and Territory Managers.
• Assist with training to expand product knowledge and customer experience.
• Facilitate pre-bid meetings and determine sales strategy.
• Answer calls and provide high level customer service.
