Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking a Controls Estimator to support commercial projects from Savannah, GA. The role focuses on estimating control systems, reviewing plans and specifications, and translating documents into a bill of materials for quotes.

You will interact with engineering and account teams to secure accurate pricing and timely proposals. You will travel up to ~30% to branches and related sites, coordinate with vendors, and help drive customer satisfaction and successful mobilization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field of study.
• 3 years’ experience with Commercial HVAC is a plus.
• 3 years’ Customer Service experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office, Excel and Adobe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to determine controls products to be estimated.
• Translate plans into a specific list of control components for a job.
• Review and complete wiring diagrams and submittals for projects.
• Estimate pricing for needed products and send quotes to customers or commercial department.
• Obtain external vendor pricing and quotations while maintaining competitive pricing.
• Coordinate quotes, plans and specs with engineering services.
