Trane Technologies is hiring a Controls Estimator II in Columbus, OH (onsite) to provide detailed cost estimates for HVAC control projects. You will work with building owners and Account Managers to define scope, price materials, and coordinate subcontractor quotes.

A background in Building Automation, HVAC systems, and strong budgeting skills are essential. The role requires 3–7 years in estimating/engineering/construction management, with a degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Formación

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Candidates with a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience is valued.
• Proven experience with Building Automation, HVAC Controls and HVAC Systems.
• Strong financial and business acumen; able to run projects on time and on budget.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare cost estimates including materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Develop detailed scope from design-build plans for bidding.
• Create detailed cost estimates with vendor quotes and quantities.
• Price purchased equipment and ensure accuracy of quantities.
• Lead pre-bid meetings with Account Managers to review scope and strategy.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with vendors/sub-contractors.
• Collaborate with Operations/Fulfillment to control costs and post-project reviews.
