Job summary

Russell Sigler Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead programming, commissioning and service support for commercial control projects. You will respond to client needs, identify system solutions and communicate project changes to the team and customers.

The role requires reading blueprints, understanding HVAC systems, and creating control sequences of operations with networked controllers. Travel to customer sites for visits, events and training is expected.

Qualifications

AA/AS degree with 2+ years in HVAC industry or BS degree in mechanical engineering with 2-5 years of industry experience.
Read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints; understand construction docs and procedures.
Experience installing programming and commissioning HVAC controllers; able to develop sequences of operations and bill of materials.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales support to engineers, contractors and building owners.
Provide controls training to mechanical engineers, contractors, and owners.
Generate controls proposals with detailed scope of work, project sequence and drawings.
Create sequence of operations, select BOM, design network layouts and electrical schematics.
Perform programming on system and network-level controllers.
Gather design changes from field and create as-built drawings.
Create application notes, technical papers and training documentation.
Answer controls technical support calls; uphold safety standards.
