Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Controls Specialist to monitor and optimize HVAC and building automation systems for safe, comfortable facilities with the lowest energy usage. You will upgrade control programming, train staff, troubleshoot, and support the energy management program.

The role covers energy management, system programming, alarm reduction, and commissioning support, with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field with equivalent experience.
• 5 years experience in HVAC and building automation installation and service or equivalent experience.
• HVAC and building automation systems experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
• Strong spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with working with unionized workforce.
• Knowledge of Alerton and Automated Logic Corp. systems a big plus.

Responsibilities

• ENERGY MANAGEMENT: Support, analyze, and report on energy conservation initiatives.
• Upgrade HVAC controls programming and interfaces to optimize energy performance.
• Participate in continuous monitoring based commissioning for energy efficiency.
