Job summary

Johnson Controls in Utah is seeking an HVAC Controls Systems Designer to support design and programming of building control systems under supervision. The role translates project requirements into hardware designs, software, submittals, and installation documentation while assisting commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty response.

You will collaborate with field teams, consultants, contractors, and owners to ensure designs meet scope, safety, and quality standards, and you will help

Qualifications

• Experience with installing and/or commissioning controls systems.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and control system concepts.
• Strong computer skills and software literacy.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC control system hardware and software.
• Prepare submittals and documentation for customers and field teams.
• Assist with loading and commissioning system controllers.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, and as-built docs.
• Select, order, and track materials for projects.
• Adhere to safety standards on site.
