Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring for an HVAC controls engineer responsible for hardware designs and software programming that meet project requirements. You will prepare submittals and communicate design details to customers, installation teams, and subcontractors, while assisting in commissioning and field validation.

The role requires experience with control systems and strong technical aptitude, along with a background in mechanical/electrical engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing/commissioning controls systems including system-level controllers.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and advanced computer skills.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or 5+ years HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software for HVAC control systems per project requirements.
• Provide detailed submittals and communicate design/operation to customers and teams.
• Assist in loading, commissioning and validation of system controllers.
• Gathers field changes and creates as-built drawings and software.
