Job summary

The University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest is seeking an HVAC Control Technician to join its trades and facilities team in Seattle, WA. You will install, modify, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration control systems, specializing in Johnson Controls Metasys, and assist with system design.

Responsibilities include fabricating controls, calibrating equipment, and managing control parts inventory. This regular, 100% FTE day-shift role offers a stable opportunity within UWMC Northwest

Qualifications

• Four-year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee or four years of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
• Trade school training in control mechanisms may substitute, year-for-year, for work experience up to two years.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications, except when licenses or certifications are required.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of a four-year approved institution course as a Control Technician Trainee; OR four years of applicable experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
• Vocational or trade school training in control mechanisms may be substituted, year-for-year, for work experience up to a maximum of two years.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
