Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Foreman for construction projects in Illinois. You will lead technicians and installers, review plans and specifications, and coordinate schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget completion with quality workmanship.

You will mentor crew members, enforce safety standards, manage materials, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve issues and meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade school certification preferred; college degree a plus.
• Several years of HVAC installation and repair experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient understanding of HVAC systems, blueprints, and design specifications.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to meet driving requirements for company vehicles.
• HVAC/R certification or licensing as required by state or region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians and installers on construction sites.
• Coordinate daily tasks according to project priorities and schedules.
• Provide guidance and training to crew members to enhance skill levels and performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
• Review project plans, blueprints, budgets, and specifications to understand HVAC requirements.
• Monitor project progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other foremen to coordinate work sequences.
• Manage material inventory and ensure timely availability of supplies.
• Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and components.
• Ensure installations meet standards and building codes; conduct inspections and quality checks.
• Communicate with clients, engineers, and project managers; maintain records and logs; submit progress reports and timesheets.
