Job summary

TDIndustries in Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC service professional to perform inspections, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of advanced commercial and chiller systems. The role offers company vehicle, cell phone, comprehensive benefits, ESOP, 401K, on-call bonus, paid holidays and PTO, plus ongoing manufacturer training.

You will diagnose and optimize systems while building long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HVAC Commercial experience.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes.
• Skilled reading of complex schematics and prints.
• Self-managed with professional demeanor and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and optimize performance of HVAC systems including split, rooftop units, and chillers.
• Disassemble and reassemble units to perform troubleshooting and maintenance per service agreement.
• Manage service contracts, quotes, and calls to ensure profitability.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed.
• Participate in technician on-call standby rotation.
• Safely operate a vehicle and comply with safety policies.
• Procure materials and issue purchase orders; manage inventory on the service vehicle.
• Maintain tools and inventory on the service vehicle.

Job Summary

Essential Duties

• Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record.
• Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years of experience HVAC Commercial.

• Full teardown is required.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes is required.
• Proficient in reading complex schematics and prints
• Able to perform as a self-managed individual
• Must be able to display a professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capabilities.
