Job summary

TDIndustries in Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to inspect, test, repair, and perform planned maintenance on advanced commercial and chiller systems. The role includes a company vehicle, benefits, ESOP, 401K, on-call bonus, holidays and PTO, and manufacturer training.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HVAC Commercial experience.
• Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes.
• Proficient in reading complex schematics and prints.
• Able to operate as a self-managed individual.
• Professional demeanor with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and optimize performance of HVAC systems including split, RTU, chiller and airside equipment.
• Disassemble/reassemble large or small HVAC equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Fulfill service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls while maintaining profitability.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed to their satisfaction.
• Participate in technician on-call standby rotation per policy.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and trailer per policy and safety requirements.
• Purchase materials and issue PO numbers; manage stock and tools on the service vehicle.

Essential Duties

• Diagnose and optimize performance of various HVAC systems including split systems, mini split systems, RTUs, WSHPs, CRAC units, chillers, and airside equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial or residential HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls, ensuring profitability is maintained.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Participates in technician on-call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, as evidenced by past driving performance record.
• Meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy, and adheres to all company safety requirements.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 7+ years of experience HVAC Commercial.

Full teardown is required. Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques and codes is required. Proficient in reading complex schematics and prints Able to perform as a self-managed individual Must be able to display a professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capabilities.
