Job summary

TDIndustries, Inc. is seeking an HVAC technician to perform inspections, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of commercial systems in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities include diagnosing performance issues, performing preventive maintenance, and executing service calls with clear communication to customers. The role involves on-call rotations, use of app-based tech, and maintaining equipment on a mobile service vehicle.

Qualifications

• Ideally 1–2 years of relevant HVAC experience.
• HVAC unitary skills: split systems up to 5 tons, rooftop units up to 5 tons, heat pump and water source systems.
• Knowledge of brand-specific controls.
• Ability to read basic schematics and use app-based technology.

Job Summary

Essential Duties

• Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as of equipment: split systems, heat pump, RTU and WSHP.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls in alignment with directives. Initiates the establishment of enduring client partnerships, ensuring clear communication of work executed to achieve customer contentment.
• Engages in on-call/stand‑by rotations as per business unit protocols and procedures, demonstrating readiness for responsive technical support.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience.

• Required -- HVAC Unitary skills: split system - all brands up to 5 tons, mini-split system – up to 3 ton heat pump, roof top units – all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps – all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps – all brands up to 5 tons.
• Knowledge of brand specific controls.
• Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
• Hands on experience with one or more controls platforms.
• Ability to read basic schematics.
• Must be able to use app-based technology.
• Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.
• Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
