Job summary

TDIndustries in Texas is seeking an HVAC Technician to perform inspections, testing, repairs and planned maintenance of commercial systems. You will diagnose performance, disassemble/reassemble equipment, and support service contracts with clear communication of work performed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant HVAC experience preferred.
• HVAC Unitary skills: split systems, rooftops, water-source heat pumps up to 5 tons.
• Ability to read basic schematics and operate app-based tech.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Fulfills service contracts and communicates work performed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participates in on-call/stand-by rotations as required by the business unit policies.
• Purchases materials and issues PO numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory on service vehicle.
• Drives a company vehicle safely and adheres to safety requirements.

Job Summary

Performs inspections, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of HVAC Commercial Systems.

Essential Duties

• Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as of equipment: split systems, heat pump, RTU and WSHP.
• Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial HVAC equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance as indicated in the service agreement.
• Successfully fulfills service contracts, quoted projects, and service calls in alignment with directives. Initiates the establishment of enduring client partnerships, ensuring clear communication of work executed to achieve customer contentment.
• Engages in on-call/stand-by rotations as per business unit protocols and procedures, demonstrating readiness for responsive technical support.
• Purchases materials and issues purchase order numbers to suppliers.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Ideally 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Required -- HVAC Unitary skills: split system - all brands up to 5 tons, mini-split system - up to 3 ton heat pump, roof top units - all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps - all brands up to 5 tons, water source heat pumps - all brands up to 5 tons.
Knowledge of brand specific controls.
Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
Hands on experience with one or more controls platforms.
Ability to read basic schematics.
Must be able to use app-based technology.
Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.
Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
