Job summary

Jobot in CT is seeking an HVAC Chiller Service Technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot centrifugal, screw, reciprocating, and scroll chillers, as well as associated equipment such as boilers and unitary HVAC systems.

Openings in Trumbull, CT and South Windsor, CT with competitive pay and benefits. Candidates should have 3–5 years of commercial HVAC experience and EPA certification; a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary HVAC or Refrigeration schooling or apprenticeship.
• 3-5 years minimum experience working on commercial units.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Boiler and steam experience is a plus.
• EPA Certified.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and preventive maintenance on chillers and boilers, including electrical and mechanical components.
• Performs major repairs on chillers and boilers, following EPA guidelines for refrigerant recovery.
• Works on cooling towers, drives, pumps, and centrifugal equipment; maintains logs and records.
• Familiar with brands like Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Smardt, McQuay; also Cleaver Brooks, Hurst, Lochinvar, Fulton, HB Smith, Patterson Kelly.
• Utilizes refrigerant recovery equipment and adheres to EPA regulations.
