Job summary

National Property Management Associates, Inc. in Lakeland, FL seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs across apartments and common areas, responding quickly to service requests and keepingHVAC/plumbing/electrical systems in good working condition.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–3 years’ apartment maintenance experience, EPA HVAC certification, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
HVAC knowledge with EPA certification preferred.
Plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall and painting skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong troubleshooting, customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments, common areas and grounds.
Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and carpentry issues.
Prepare vacant units for new residents (turnovers/make-readies).
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain records.
Maintain pools, fitness centers and other community amenities.
Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed.
Assist with emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours rotation.
Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance shop organization.
