Job summary

Hawthorne Residential Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician II at The Veranda at Mkt Common in Myrtle Beach. The role handles work orders, assists with preventative maintenance, and ensures day-to-day upkeep across the community. HVAC certification is required and a basic repair knowledge is expected.

Education includes a high school diploma or GED, with two years of apartment maintenance preferred. Valid DL, EPA/HVAC cert, and bonus CPO certification support eligibility for advancement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• EPA/HVAC certification.
• CPO certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs to Hawthorne standards.
• Ensure all service requests are completed per Hawthorne guidelines.
• Repair and restore vacant apartments to make-ready status for next move-in.
• Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning.
• Complete preventative maintenance per company policy.
• Maintain building and grounds daily with neat, safe spaces.
• Promote professional relations with residents and staff; live the culture of kindness.
• Participate in on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies; complete special projects as needed.
