Job summary

UG2 is seeking a Building/HVAC Technician to support a state-of-the-art life science campus in Boston. You will perform inspections, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration, growth, and mentorship within a growing team. Responsibilities include troubleshooting via the building management system, advising on system design, and maintaining critical energy and safety systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years related experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large HVAC equipment.
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS/BMS).
• Willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid licenses/certifications preferred (see certificates).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and related systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot building systems; trend performance via BMS.
• Maintain and repair boilers, heating/cooling systems, pumps, and controls.
• Support system design discussions and collaborate with owners and vendors.
• Engage in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping of mechanical/electrical rooms and safety standards.
