Job summary

UG2, a Boston-area facility services provider, is seeking a Building/HVAC Technician to support operations and maintenance of a state-of-the-art life science campus. This role will be a point of contact for building owners and contribute to system design discussions with a collaborative, growth-focused team.

You will inspect, test, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including energy management and fire safety controls, while coordinating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 3–5 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Refrigeration license preferred; ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge with maintenance team to strengthen performance.
• Diagnose and trend facilities systems through the BMS.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls and perform repairs.
• Perform pump rebuilds to ensure operation of HVAC and building systems.
• Foster strong contractor and vendor relationships.
• Inspect and repair boilers, heating, cooling, and auxiliary equipment.
• Provide initial response to maintenance requests, focusing on HVAC.
• Operate and maintain Energy Management and Fire Safety Systems.
• Conduct routine tours of mechanical spaces and building areas.
• Respond to service calls including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting duties.
