The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County’s Parks & Recreation Department seeks a Building Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC to install and maintain HVAC, environmental and mechanical systems across city facilities, performing repairs, alterations and preventive maintenance as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with two years of skilled maintenance experience, or eight years in city facilities, plus EPA Universal Certification (HVAC-R) and a valid

Qualifikationen

• Experience and general knowledge of electrical and electronics to safely and efficiently install and repair these systems.

Aufgaben

• Install, and/or make alterations as directed to HVAC, Environmental, and Mechanical systems, Some Lighting and Plumbing etc.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of various environmental and mechanical systems, such as circulation pumps, motors, heat exchangers and compressors, within approved guidelines at all Park & Recreation facilities
• May perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, environmental, and mechanical systems, including replacing and/or cleaning filters, cleaning and/or repairing vents and ducts, testing and/or replacing thermostats.
• Maintain current knowledge of codes, regulations, etc.
• Maintain simple work records and logs.
• Operate Aerial Lifts.
• Visit various sites to perform maintenance, preventative maintenance, transport materials as needed for job, etc.
