Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Seattle to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and control systems. The role supports preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy management programs to ensure optimal operations.

The candidate will perform emergency repairs, review inspections, and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace in alignment with CBRE RISE values.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 4-5 years of related experience; combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma.
Universal CFC certification preferred; certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills and analytical mindset; able to perform math calculations for financial figures.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and control systems.
Maintain facility systems and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
Support preventive maintenance programs and energy management initiatives.
Conduct emergency repairs as needed and maintain a safe workplace.
Review building system inspections (HVAC, plumbing, fire alarms) for design and environmental targets.
Mentor teammates and share knowledge across related disciplines.
Lead by example consistent with CBRE RISE values and support collaboration across teams.
