Job summary

Natick Public Works Dept. seeks an experienced Maintenance V-HVAC & Building Management Systems Technician to maintain and optimize municipal HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and BMS systems.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of building automation to ensure safe, efficient town facilities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in HVAC, BMS experience, EPA 608, and relevant licenses.

Qualifications

• Five years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
• Demonstrated Building Management Systems (BMS) and building automation controls knowledge.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration License strongly preferred; Electrical License preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical specs.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and BMS maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot building automation and control systems; ensure codes compliance.
• Oversight of outside contractors on HVAC projects; coordinate with Facilities Maintenance Team.
• Maintain records, inventories, and maintenance documentation; operate CMMS.
• Support snow removal and after-hours emergency response as needed.
