R S Andrews of Tidewater Heating, Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Assistant Service Manager to support the service leadership team and oversee daily operations for the residential HVAC service department. The role reports to the HVAC Service Manager and aims to ensure high-quality service, strong technician performance, and excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• HVAC field supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and financial awareness.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office preferred).
• Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, service operations, and technician workflow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the HVAC service team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Coordinate technician schedules, daily assignments, and service priorities.
• Support the Service Manager in maintaining efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor technician performance, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure materials, parts, and equipment are ordered and available for scheduled jobs.
• Review departmental reports including inventory, tools, vehicles, and service metrics.
• Conduct job site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Review payroll records to ensure technicians are properly compensated.
• Ensure technicians have the tools, equipment, and resources needed to complete service calls.
• Support dispatch operations to ensure appropriate technician assignment and scheduling.
