Job summary

McCarthy Services is hiring an Assistant HVAC Service Manager to support the service leadership team and daily operations for residential HVAC technicians. The role reports to the HVAC Service Manager and focuses on delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

The position offers a competitive salary of $80,000–$85,000 per year, a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 (varies by experience), and full-time year-long work with benefits through ARS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of HVAC service field experience.
• Plumbing experience highly preferred.
• Supervisory background highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising and developing the HVAC service team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Help coordinate technician schedules, daily assignments, and service priorities.
• Support the Service Manager in maintaining efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor technician performance, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure materials, parts, and equipment are ordered and available for scheduled jobs.
• Review departmental reports including inventory, tools, vehicles, and service metrics.
• Conduct job site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Review payroll records to ensure technicians are properly compensated.
• Ensure technicians have the tools, equipment, and resources needed to complete service calls.
• Support dispatch operations to ensure appropriate technician assignment and scheduling.
