Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. is opening a new campus facility housing Marley and Ingenia Technologies. The Quality Inspector will ensure OlympusMax and Ingenia AHUs meet drawings and customer specs, performing in-process and final inspections and contributing to quality systems at the new site.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, BOMs, and use precision measuring tools, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Office/manufacturing setting with travel possible.

Qualifications

• Read assembly manuals, job orders, drawings, and packing paperwork.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel for documentation.
• Read tape measures in metric and imperial units.
• Safely use hand tools (manual and pneumatic).
• Interpret paper documents accurately and plan tool usage.
• Work with others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first article, receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Verify compliance with drawings, BOMs, specs, and customer requirements.
• Inspect components: fan arrays, coils, dampers, filters, energy recovery systems, panels, and assemblies.
• Perform dimensional inspections with precision equipment.
• Verify installation/orientation of components within AHU assemblies.
• Ensure labeling, documentation, and identification requirements are met.
• Complete inspection reports, checklists, and quality records timely.
• Document nonconformances and support root cause investigations.
• Verify electrical, mechanical, and functional tests per standards.
• Confirm units meet project-specific performance and quality requirements before shipment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, UL, and customer-specific specs.
