Job summary
Leidos Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our EPC Solutions Team. You will provide technical leadership and engineering execution for HV/EHV transmission projects under EPC contracts across North America, coordinating across civil, structural, electrical, environmental, and procurement teams.
In this role you will lead design from proposal through detailed design, procurement, construction support, and project closeout while ensuring quality, schedule adherence,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and PE license.
- 8+ years in electric utility transmission design; EPC project experience.
- Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.
- Working knowledge of NESC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC codes.
- Strong communication and team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Perform HV/EHV transmission design and analysis for overhead and underground lines.
- Develop full transmission line designs with models and codes.
- Lead EPC project execution from proposal to commissioning.
- Coordinate interfaces across multiple disciplines.
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources for projects.
- Engage clients and stakeholders with clear technical communication.
- Support procurement, vendor coordination, and construction activities.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers.
