GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Lead Designer for Substation Physical Design to guide CAD/design staff, perform design reviews, and drive high-voltage substation projects from 12kV through 500kV.

The role involves leadership, mentoring, and technical training, with potential remote work options and travel to client sites as needed. Experience with AutoCAD/Microstation and 3D CAD tools is preferred.

Formación

• Associates or better in Drafting or related field.
• 14 years of related experience.
• Driver's License

Responsabilidades

• Develop drawings for one-lines, physical arrangements, grounding, conduit, lighting, and rigid bus analysis using CAD software.
• Create physical layouts and substation designs that integrate with protection and control drawings.
• Develop project criteria and BOM for substation projects.
• Design and size auxiliary systems including AC/DC load centers, batteries, and chargers.
• Design and size conduit and high voltage conductors.
• Perform QA/QC reviews on drawing packages per client standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, onboarding, and mentoring to CAD staff; may act as lead supervisor.
