GAI Consultants invites a Lead Designer for Substation Physical Design to lead design tasks for high voltage subsystems (12kV–500kV) and mentor CAD/design staff. The role includes design reviews across multiple projects, with a potential for remote work.

Responsibilities include creating layouts, developing design specs, QA/QC, and coordinating with protection/control drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Microstation required; AEP/FE experience preferred; Associates of Drafting and 14 years related

Formación

• Associates of Drafting (preferred).
• 14 years: Related experience (required).
• Driver's License (required).
• AEP/FE experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, design, and perform design checks for one-lines, physical arrangements and grounding; produce drawings.
• Create physical layouts and substation designs that integrate with protection and control drawings.
• Develop design specifications including the overall bill of materials and BOM.
• Design and sizing of auxiliary systems (AC/DC, batteries, chargers).
• Perform QA/QC reviews on drawing packages and maintain documentation.
