Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando, Florida, seeks a Commissioning Technician to support high‑voltage substation commissioning on EPC and turnkey projects. You will test, energize, and integrate equipment safely alongside engineers, construction teams, OEMs, and client representatives.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Power Systems or Electrical Engineering and 2–5 years of electrical testing/commissioning experience, with strong diagram-reading and safety skills for field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Power Systems or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical testing and commissioning, preferably HV substations.
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety practices for high‑voltage work.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for HV substations.
• Perform testing and commissioning of primary and secondary equipment.
• Execute functional testing, troubleshooting, and energization support under supervision.
• Coordinate with project teams, OEMs, and clients to support schedules and objectives.
• Maintain accurate commissioning documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
