Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United States seeks an Intermediate Commissioning Engineer to support high‑voltage substation EPC and turnkey projects. You will develop commissioning plans, test primary/secondary systems, and ensure safe energization under senior guidance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, producing test reports, and ensuring IEC/IEEE/NERC/OSHA compliance while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical testing and commissioning, preferably in HV substations or industrial power projects.
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and test procedures with knowledge of high-voltage equipment.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, safety management, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for HV substations and energization readiness.
• Perform testing and commissioning of primary/secondary equipment (transformers, GIS, circuit breakers, relays, SCADA).
• Coordinate with project teams, OEMs, engineering, and client reps to align activities with schedules.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, quality records, and as-built documentation per standards.
