Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Protection & Control Commissioning Engineer to act as the technical authority for high‑voltage substation commissioning on EPC and turnkey projects.

You will develop commissioning strategies, oversee testing of protection relays, control systems, SCADA interfaces, metering systems, and secondary equipment, and ensure systems are safely energized and integrated.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in protection and control commissioning for HV substations.
• Experience testing microprocessor-based relays (SEL, Siemens, GE, ABB/Hitachi Energy).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop commissioning plans and procedures for protection and control systems in HV substations.
• Lead testing and commissioning of protection relays, metering, SCADA interfaces, and control panels.
• Supervise commissioning teams, ensuring safety, quality and project adherence.
• Coordinate with project managers, OEMs, and clients to align timelines and budgets.
• Maintain documentation including test reports, relay settings, NCRs and RAMS.
