Position Title: Electrical / Electronic Engineer II

Client: Freightliner Custom Chassis (DTNA)

Work Location: High Point TBB TMP | DTNA_LOC_TBB, High Point, NC

Work Type: Onsite

Start Date: November 3, 2025

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Hours/Week: 40

Position Overview

The Electrical / Electronic Engineer II will design, develop, test, and support the manufacturing and installation of electrical systems and components for commercial and industrial applications. This position requires hands‑on engineering expertise and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic production environment.

You will be responsible for designing and validating electrical systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness, while also maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and lighting assemblies for vehicle applications.
  • Conduct testing and validation of electrical components to ensure design integrity and safety.
  • Evaluate cost‑effectiveness, reliability, and performance of proposed design solutions.
  • Create and interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and blueprints.
  • Estimate project timelines and costs and support implementation within production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate components, materials, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation in design and electrical systems integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (required).
  • 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and automotive systems design.
  • Hands‑on experience with assembly and installation of electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (CREO preferred).
  • Ability to read and create wiring schematics and diagrams.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Background in automotive electrical design and testing.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management and prototype validation.
  • Previous experience in commercial vehicle or transportation manufacturing environments.
