Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a field service professional to inspect, test, and troubleshoot high voltage electrical systems up to 500kV and perform relay calibration. You will collect data, conduct transformer tests, and ensure safe, compliant operation in demanding environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and NETA Certification preferred. Willingness to travel locally and overnight is required; IPS offers strong benefits and a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or equivalent military training preferred.
• Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• NETA Certification (III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified.
• OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training preferred.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and data collection of HV electrical systems up to 500kV and relay calibration.
• Instrument transformer tests.
• Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.
• Test electro-mechanical and solid state relays.
• Cable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot.
• Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting.
• HV switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies promptly.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Local and overnight travel readiness.
• Flexible hours, overtime and weekends as required; on-call availability.
• Work safely alone and as part of a team; follow electrical safety procedures.
• Contribute to a strong team environment and assist teammates.
