Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking qualified technicians to inspect, test, troubleshoot and start up high-voltage electrical systems up to 500kV. You will perform transformer and relay testing, collect data, and ensure safe operation in a dynamic field environment.

The role requires travel, on-call duties, and adherence to safety standards. A high school diploma, 2-year technical training or equivalent, plus NETA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (to 500kV) electrical systems.
• Instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing using standard methods.
• Test electro-mechanical and solid state relays and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 500kV.
• Perform relay and switchgear testing and calibration.
• Conduct on-site measurements and data collection for performance analysis.
• Travel locally and overnight as required; respond to emergencies on-call.
• Follow safety procedures and work well within a team.
