Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a skilled electrical test technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on high voltage electrical systems up to 500 kV. You will perform transformer and relay tests, switchgear, and related diagnostics, with on-call duties and local/overnight travel as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or better, 5+ years of relevant experience, NETA certification preferred, and OSHA 30/ CPR training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AS/2-year technical or military training in Electrical Power preferred.
• NETA certification highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience.
• OSHA 30 hour, CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on HV systems up to 500 kV.
• Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing.
• Test electro-mechanical and solid-state relays; cable testing and VLF testing.
• Troubleshoot ATS, switchgear, and circuit breakers; on-call as needed.
• Travel locally and overnight; work flexible hours including weekends.
