Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. is seeking a Field Electrical Power Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and start-up high-voltage electrical systems up to 500kV.

You will perform instrument transformer and transformer tests, relay testing, and cable diagnostics across demanding environments. The role requires a strong safety culture, 3+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel locally and overnight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Electrical Power or related field preferred or relevant military training.
• NETA Certification (III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent.
• OSHA 30, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience operating a vehicle with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of HV electrical systems (up to 500kV).
• Test instrument transformers and power transformers (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance).
• Test both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays.
• Cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot).
• Troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches and HV switchgear/circuit breakers.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to customer emergencies; travel locally and overnight as needed.
• Adhere to electrical safety procedures; work safely solo or in a team.
