Job summary

LS Cable & System USA, Inc. seeks a Quality Engineer to oversee the Final Test department, executing HV electrical and mechanical tests, and ensuring cables meet standards and customer specs. You will supervise operators, analyze data, and drive process improvements.

The role requires 1–3 years in cable testing, strong QA discipline, and a hands-on approach to testing; a related engineering degree is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Tarboro, NC.

Qualifications

• BS/AS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field required
• 1–3 years in cable manufacturing or HV testing preferred
• Familiarity with UL 1072, ANSI/ICEA S-97-682, S-94-649, AEIC CS8

Responsibilities

• Supervise Final Test operators and perform hands-on testing and diagnostics.
• Electrical testing: AC withstand, insulation resistance, continuity.
• Mechanical tests: tensile strength, elongation, dimensional verification.
• Validate cable performance against UL 1072, ANSI/ICEA S-97-682, S-94-649, AEIC CS8.
• Adhere to QA procedures; monitor parameters; support RCA and CAPA.
• Maintain traceability of test results to material lots and production runs.
• Set up and troubleshoot HV test equipment; maintain calibration per schedule.
• Record, analyze, and report test data; support internal audits and customer inspections.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve quality issues.
